Every detail of the metalwork in the old Lovers Leap Bridge is silhouetted in the dim, misty twilight which clings to the quiet forests of New Milford in Connecticut's Northwest Hills. Built in 1895 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, the bridge still spans the Housatonic River over a rocky gorge, even if it has long been limited only to foot traffic by hikers.
