The latest addition to my Yankee Farmlands collection was inspired by an interesting blend of textures and colors in this bucolic landscape in the Connecticut Valley: striations in the freshly-mowed hayfields... leafy detail in the verdant, green cornfield... sharp verticals in the bold, red tobacco barn and a marvelous mosaic of shingles atop all set against a smooth expanse of blue yonder.
