The Beavertail Lighthouse stands sentinel at the southern fringe of Conanicut Island at the mouth of Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay. Built more than 150 years ago, the stone tower has guided several generations of sailors along the rocky coastline of Southern New England. To this day, it remains an active aid to maritime navigation.
